I tend to dedicate the first 15,000 kills to get equipment, considering I often go for No Delay set ups.

But I could surely speed up through the tower to make it more fun in a certain way. After all you're bound to find average equipment as you do it.

Either way I just go by a gap system, as in equips gotten from the underworld, are good enough till mid 30s, mid 30s equips are good enough until 45F, then apply the same to 46-49F and Nightdreamer, as it can be a bit hard sometimes. In reality there is practically nothing you can't kill if you take your time to do so, just don't rush through things and kill them slowly.

Uk, if you had to restart, is your goal to slowly work your way up to floor 49, or are you taking your time making sure your gear is good enough to fight the next floor's minions.

I've tried avoiding the star from 1 cm away from star and it still keeps closing. The two middle minion's in mook's room clearly keep closing it for me. Only valid strategy is to not touch them in hopes it doesn't close, but it makes it very inefficient hoping to get the correct 2 item chests.

Less AS means less HAV needed.

I can see where you are coming from, though.

my apologies, i clearly didn't know what you were talking about - tried out the avoid-the-star thing and now it makes sense.

the attackspeed is unfortunate, but nothing comes close to the balance between survivability (with the HAV) and damage so far...i can take 49 down easily enough so i'm doing repeats until i get double quietudes or something :P but until then...

Mongo:

Q1: Stay 1 cm away from the star and it shouldn't close. If you can't reach chests then it's up to you whether you take the risk or not. And no, SA definitely doesn't count.

Q2: No. You may be under that impression because as you improve, you get to kill things in less time, therefore increasing the rate of drops.

Q3: Could be 1/1 or 1/100. Items there tend to drop easily in my experience. I always go for No Delay characters so I always pass by to pick up some items.

Edge:

I'd start by reducing my AS if I were you, 11 is way too much, when you reach about 7 or so you can really tell the difference. Monkey Blades have always been a no no to me, the Attack Speed they give have more weight than the stats they give. Focus on improving those qualities that make Daggers... well Daggers. Attack, -AS, Average Defense, Average AR, higher walk Speed and high Dex. With that you shouldn't have any problems at all, and there are plenty of items which are capable of making it happen.

P.S.: Indrik is rather useless, as well most cursed items like that ring of morena which only improves your SA in exchange for mediocre stats.
